CRMI_PARTERRE geht in die zweite Runde: Das Werk "As the crow flies" des Bieler Künstlers Benjamin Sunarjo wird bis im Frühjahr 2024 im Schaufenster des Restaurants zu sehen sein. Im Innern setzt sich das Werk in Form von bedruckten Tischsets fort, die nach dem Essen als individuell "gefärbtes" Kunstwerk mit nach Hause genommen werden können.
Benjamin Sunarjo nutzt das Konzept des Translokalen um unwahrscheinliche geopolitische Verbindungen herzustellen und Stereotypen zu dekonstruieren. Für das Schaufenster des CRMI arbeitet er mit Streetview- und Satellitenbildern, um eine Illusion der Distanz zum Vertrauten zu schaffen und uns auf unerwartete Weise auf uns selbst zurück zu führen.

CRMI_PARTERRE enters its second round: the work "As the crow flies" by Biel-based artist Benjamin Sunarjo will be on display in the restaurant's shop window until spring 2024. The work continues inside in the form of printed placemats that can be taken home as an individually stained work of art after the meal.
Benjamin uses the concept of the translocal to create unlikely geopolitical connections and deconstruct stereotypes. For the CRMI vitrine, he uses streetview and satellite imagery to create an illusion of distance from the familiar. We will open the exhibition with a bottle of champagne and a good helping of pizza bread.
Environmental scientist and dancer by training, Benjamin Sunarjo’s work revolves around the idea of creating a geomorphology of the body: the spiritual and physical body at the intersection to nature, part of, yet distinct from it.
